Our Policies and Procedures
At Grappenhall Pre-school, we have policies and procedures in place to ensure your child is safe, happy and learning well. These guide how we care for children, how our staff work, and how we keep you informed.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which sets the standards for learning, development, and welfare. This includes:
Keeping children safe – we have clear rules to protect every child.
Qualified, caring staff – all our team are trained and supported to provide the best care.
- Individual attention – each child has a key person to help them settle and thrive.
- Healthy routines – we promote good health, manage illness, and provide nutricious food.
- Positive behaviour – we encourage kindness, respect and cooperation.
- Safe and welcoming environment – both indoors and outside.
- Supporting every child – including those with additional needs.
- Clear communication – we keep records, share information, and involve you in your child’s care.
We regularly review our policies and involve staff and parents to make sure we’re always improving. Copies of all policies are available if you’d like to read them.
